The Chinese five phases — wood, fire, earth, metal and water — describe dynamic relationships in traditional Chinese thought. They are not five fixed human personality types. Here, we use them as a creative starting point: five images you can choose from to describe what you need today.

Birth Chart calculates the four pillars from a recorded birth date, local time and time zone. Synastry compares two independently calculated charts, showing their Day Masters and conventional stem and branch pairings. These are traditional calendar symbols, not measured personality traits or relationship predictions.
Our method uses solar-term boundaries for the year and month, the birth time zone’s civil clock for the day and hour, and midnight day rollover. We do not adjust for true solar time.
